*~*Happy Thirsty Thursday to everyone in the valley! Hope that the week has been treating everyone favorably and that you have had sometime for rest and relaxation. Spent the last few days in Vegas and I am exhausted. Not a great way to head into the weekend, but if anything, I am thankful to be back in Scottsdale. I SO much prefer living here to almost any place! The only thing better in Vegas was the temperature, well and the all night partying.

In a city where the temperature rises over 100 degrees everyday it is a necessity to stay cool during the long and sometimes drawn out summer months. The weather is warm and it is time to hit the water scene. If your visiting Arizona and your looking for a way to stay refreshed then here are a few options for you...
  • Salt River Tubing is always a blast, a sunburn, a chance to hang out with friends or meet new people, and all-day drinking! Beat the heat and drift down the river. The crowds on the river start to form after memorial day, so try it this weekend or next if your not into swarms of people! The price is reasonable at $15 per tube. The river is open seven days a week from 9 AM to 6:30 PM! http://www.saltrivertubing.com/
  • Poolside concerts all summer long at Hotel Valley Ho in Downtown Scottsdale. Elvis Before Noon plays while guests catch some sun and savor food and drink specials during the performance. Performances are Fridays from 4 PM to 9 PM.
  • The re-done/new Phoenix waterpark called Wet 'n' Wild Phoenix is going to have a variety of new water slides to keep Arizona summer a little cooler. The park will have a wave pool, body slides, lazy river, a crazy looking funnel ride, and many more.
